I hope you all have been enjoying the photos of Ossie on his first day home!
It’s been a fairly uneventful day. We’ve taken him out twice to see if he had to poop, but nothing has happened. You have to remember that does not have use of his rear legs yet, so it’s a bit… uh… interesting to convince him to go. We have a ‘sling’ type contraction that is basically 2 straps that hook under each leg, and then comes together above him so that you can hold him up (I’ll post a photo tomorrow)… We have to support his rear end with his, while sort of lowering/positioning his legs & rear into a ‘squatting/pooping’ position. As you can imagine we’re in VERY close proximity to him while all of this is going on… and so far he has just not been inspired to let loose. I can’t say that I blame him, poor guy… But we have been told that eventually he will poop like this.
……..I’m skeptical (but hopeful!).
In other news! I wanted to let you know our total Vet-Bill– as of Oslo’s discharge this morning:::
Oh! & We have so far raised $3850 in donations! Horrah!!
